Tailors’ Keep is an experience-driven San Francisco tailoring brand offering stylish, high-end custom clothing for men.
The brand offers wardrobe staples that are at once classically timeless, and fashion-forward for the avant-garde San Franciscan.
Tailors’ Keep is a brand designed around simplicity and self-awareness.
When we began working with the gentlemen at Tailors' Keep, they had just relocated to their new space in the heart of San Francisco's financial district.
The shop is nestled right in the middle of one of the most innovative neighborhoods in the world.
Although the store location itself was beyond perfect, we had some work do to bring the interior up to par. Our goal was to create an experientially-driven space in which customers instantly feel both comfortable and intrigued.
Tailors' Keep offers custom suiting and shirting of the highest quality, and we wanted people to feel and understand this just by the energy and aesthetic of the space.
We wanted to make sure that each person who walks through the door feels nothing but welcome and taken care of.
This is done in a thousand small ways; an inviting couch, easy-to-navigate information about how the suiting process works, a beautifully-stocked bar and a well-designed menu of complimentary craft cocktails and coffee.
We designed interactive workshops for customers to learn about the custom tailoring programs, one for suiting and another for shirting.
Customers can use the workshops to create a completely custom shirt or suit, choosing every option they'd like from the material used, to the collar style, to the buttons.
Our challenge with the space was to create an aesthetic that was true to Tailors' Keep's modern and innovative approach, while at once paying homage to the rich, old-world tailoring tradition.
we accomplished this by incorporating lots of clean, bright walls, mid-century modern furniture and green plants with the original wood walls and moulding already in the storefront.
All the clean whites and rich wood is tied together with beautiful copper accents all throughout the shop, like this floor-to-ceiling bar we built with copper construction pipe and a hefty plank of repurposed live-edge wood.
